Who supplies the widget
UK FX Limited supplies the Currency.me.uk hosted widget. This licence covers the embed code, hosted widget interface and exchange-rate display. Read it together with our terms of use and Privacy & cookies information.
Free use on your website
We grant you a non-exclusive permission to embed the supplied widget on personal, editorial, community and business websites you own or are authorised to manage. There is no fee for this standard hosted embed. This permission does not transfer ownership of our software, branding or data.
Keep the attribution
Keep the supplied credit link and links inside the widget visible, readable and working. Do not conceal them, overlay advertising on them or describe the widget as your own rate service. Contact us before using an unbranded version or a different attribution arrangement.
Permitted customisation
Use the settings and data attributes supplied by our designer to choose currencies, colours, language, layout and number formats. You may position the embed in your page. Do not alter the hosted code, bypass access controls or modify the displayed rates or timestamps in a way that misleads visitors.
Limits on reuse
The permission is to display the hosted widget, not to resell or sublicense it, mirror its service, extract a bulk feed, archive or redistribute its rates, or build a competing data product from its output. Do not use it for unlawful activity, deceptive endorsements or automated requests that disrupt the service. Other uses require our written permission.
Your responsibilities as a publisher
Check that your website permits JavaScript embeds, keep your installation compatible with our published instructions and provide any privacy information required for your visitors. We receive normal hosting/security request information and widget usage records identifying the embedding domain and page path, as described in our privacy policy. Your website remains your responsibility.
Rates, availability and responsibility
The widget is an information tool, not a dealing service, payment quote or financial recommendation. Rates may be rounded, delayed or unavailable, and providers may charge different rates and fees. We take reasonable care but do not promise uninterrupted service or suitability for a particular transaction. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
Changes and ending use
You may stop using the widget by removing the embed. We may update the hosted service and this licence, with a revised date, and may restrict an installation that breaches these conditions or threatens security or availability. Where practical we will give notice of material changes or restrictions. The law of England and Wales applies, subject to mandatory consumer protections.
